Downtown Great Falls is always a happening place to be, but on the first Friday of every month it's positively electrified with fun and enthusiasm.
During this special monthly evening event, residents and visitors alike have a chance to view the fantastic works of local artists at local art galleries and businesses, as well as to peruse the items in some of the downtown area's most popular stores.
The Art Walk itself may have the same monthly concept, but the Downtown Great Falls Association has created a theme for each month's Art Walk that people will be sure to love.
You don't have to be German to love Oktoberfest! October's Art Walk will feature German-inspired food, drink and music during this exciting fall-themed Art Walk.
Holiday Kick Off
Come November, the snow is flying in Great Falls and the spirits are high. Everyone loves to get in the holiday mood, and the November Art Walk will help residents and visitors get ready for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa seasons.
Friday, December 3: Christmas Stroll & Parade of Lights
Downtown Great Falls is bedecked with lights and garlanded with holly for this very special and very lovely Art Walk. The downtown stores will truly be in the holiday spirit, so look for great deals and special savings during the December Art Walk.
One of the featured galleries that consistently participates in a high level in each Art Walk is Gallery 16. So named because it is owned by 16 artists, the Gallery 16 owners/artists are always hard at work in order to create unique gifts, perfect for holiday giving. You'll have a chance to see these beautiful works of art during the November and December Art Walks.
A. Hooker's Gallery is also one of our featured Art Walk galleries. Devoted to the works of the late Arlene Hooker Fay, this special gallery features a complete collection of her works. The gallery also welcomes other artists who embody Arlene's feisty spirit of the West.
The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art is named after Great Falls' founder, Mr. Paris Gibson. Housed in a lovely and elegant turn-of-the-century building, the Gallery hosts an interesting juxtaposition of contemporary art. Exhibitions feature notable Montana artists while also examining the work of national and international contemporary artists who have made significant contributions to the art world.
